Stephanie Lapidow

With nearly 20 years of experience, Stephanie has served as HANJ’s Executive Director since 2015, bringing deep expertise in the bleeding disorders community. Before joining HANJ, she held multiple roles at Critical Care Systems and BioScrip Infusion Services, including authorizations specialist, Hemophilia team lead, and northeast account executive. Stephanie has been recognized with the HFA Amplifier Award in 2021 and the Extraordinary Support Award from Patient Services Inc. in 2018. She holds a degree in English and is passionate about supporting patients and their families. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband John and two stepchildren, as well as cooking, crafting, and beach days at the Jersey Shore.

Amy LaPorta
Associate Director
Amy has been with HANJ since 2017, bringing extensive experience in hemophilia and bleeding disorders care. Before joining HANJ, she worked at BioScrip Infusion Services as Hemophilia Bleeding Disorders Coordinator, managing pharmacy deliveries, patient supplies, claims, and insurance authorizations, and was later promoted to Supervisor of the Central Intake Department, overseeing all areas of infusion therapy. Her background has given her valuable insight into the social and economic challenges faced by patients with chronic conditions. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to advocacy and fueled her passion for educating and supporting families to access the resources they need. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, vintage shopping, and staying active through exercise.

Genevieve Christo
Administrative Assistant
Gen joined the HANJ team in 2010 and serves in a versatile role, often being the first voice you hear when you call or the first person to welcome you into our office. She manages many of the day-to-day details that keep our office running smoothly, including helping coordinate our recent renovation and move to a new suite, and she also serves as editor of the HANJournal, always welcoming ideas and contributions from our community. One of the parts of her role she values most is connecting with our members, many of whom reach out during very difficult moments. Even when she needs to connect them with another staff member, people often want to speak with her first because they know they will be heard. One conversation with a member struggling to breathe but insisting on talking with her first remains a powerful reminder of how meaningful simply listening can be. Moments like that reflect what HANJ strives to be — a supportive place where members of the bleeding disorders community feel understood and cared for.
