Navigating College with Hemophilia
June 15 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The transition from high school to college can be a confusing and overwhelming time for students with a bleeding disorder and their families. In addition to the challenges that all students face when transitioning to college, additional obstacles confront students with bleeding disorders. HANJ understands this and has created a program to address these issues and help students navigate this tricky transition.
We have compiled a panel of individuals uniquely qualified to speak to these issues. Our panel includes Dr. Gary McClain, a psychotherapist, patient advocate, blogger, and author, specializing in helping clients deal with the emotional impact of chronic and life-threatening illnesses, as well as their families and professional caregivers. The discussion panel will also include two HANJ members: Trevor Graham, a severe Hemo A, and HANJ committee member, and Christopher Maniaci, a current college student navigating college as a hemophiliac.
This program will be a live program held at:
Dave & Buster’s
Wednesday, June 15th
6pm to 9pm
Dinner will be served and each attendee will receive a game card to play at the completion of the program.
HANJ strongly recommends that anyone eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine be fully vaccinated prior to attending any event. Mask wearing is optional for all attendees.
