MEET THE COMMON FACTOR GROUP LEADER
Hello! My name is Kate and I am honored to be a part of the new HANJ support group! I spent my college days at Penn State University where I met my husband John, and started our crazy journey. I grew up in a family with a history of hemophilia.
My grandmother was “a bleeder” and my father and uncle, both moderate A’s. When I had my son, hemophilia became an even bigger part of my life. I happily spend my days being a special education teacher in a private school, and my evenings advocating for my son.
I have been searching for a way to give back to the community, to help those in need, and feel that helping bring a safe space for support to HANJ community is the perfect way. I cannot wait to meet you all and join you on this rollercoaster called life!
