Non-Pharmaceutical Assistance

  • Colburn Keenan Foundation: Provides financial assistance programs to individuals and families living with chronic conditions, with priority placed on those living with bleeding disorders.
  • Campership Program – this program helps families send their children to camps that specifically serve children affected by chronic bleeding disorders.  The application can be obtained on our website.  This program is still open and accepting applications.
  • Emergency Assistance Grant Program – individuals and families can apply to us for financial assistance to cover an unexpected bill such as a car repair, appliance repair, high electric bill, etc.  The requested bill must be included with the application.  This program awards up to $750 and applicants are required to have a medical verification form completed.  This application is not on our website, and we depend on you to let individuals/families know about it.  I have attached our 2024 application for this program which includes further details and requirements.  This program is now open, and we will accept applications immediately.

  • Dial 988 or 1-800-273-8255 for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.  988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
